Another new notebook by Toshiba is Dynabook SS MX. This is a compact and lightweight model featuring long battery life, aimed at students, for example. It is equipped with a fingerprint scanner to identify users and additional anti shock protection. The notebook is built on Intel Core Duo T2300 (1.66 GHz) processor. It has a 12.1” WXGA LCD, 512 MB RAM (2GB maximum), 80 GB HDD and multi-format DVD DL drive. Weighing about 1.9 kg it measures 299x225x34-34.8 mm. Battery life makes up 5.2 hours. The sales in Japan will start on April 28.

Toshiba has announced in Japan the notebook lines the Dynabook and Qosmio. There was introduced a new 15.4” model Qosmio F30. There are 3 configurations of this notebook. The senior model Qosmio F30/695LS is equipped with two TV-tuners (analog and digital), there is an opportunity of simultaneous recording of digital and analog signal. The notebook is based on Intel Centrino Duo platform (Intel Core Duo T2300 1.66 MHz). The F30 comes with 512 MB RAM onboard (2GB maximum), 160 GB HDD, DVD DL, nVIDIA GeForceTM Go 7600 128 MB video card. Dimensions are 379x290x46-52.1 mm and weight – 4.2 kg. The sales of Qosmio F30 are set for April 21.
