Anthropomorphic Fun

Episode Two

By Jammer

Last we left, our party of Vash the Stampede, Meryl Stryfe, Milly Thompson, and Nicholas D. Wolfwood had just been interrupted by some rather large being outside of the bar.

"You come out and face me, Vash!! Or I shall slaughter everyone within this establishment!"

"No!! You can't!" Vash stood up, his eyes wide, and his long ears drooped back with fear.

"In fact, screw that! I'll just kill everyone now!" A giant fist with a machine gun attached to the wrist forced it's way through the door. It belonged to Monev the Giant Groundhog!!

"NOOOO!!!!" Vash screamed again, but it was too late, everyone within the bar was covered in marshmallow goo.....Wait! Marshmallows?! WTF?!?!

"Dammit!" Monev cursed, "I forgot that I went camping last night!"

"Yum!!" All the drunks in the bar decided to lick off all of the marshmallow goo.

"Eww..that's disgusting!" Meryl cringed at the sight. "I'd rather see them dead."

"Now, Meryl, that's not very nice," Milly scolded her friend.

Suddenly a scream came from outside! Vash hurried to the door, followed by his three new associates. He gasped at what he saw, "HE'S DEAD! Monev the Giant Groundhog is DEAD!"

A laugh came from down the road and the rabbit sprung out to see who it was.

A sleek gray cat smirked back at Vash, "Yes, Monev the Giant Groundhog is dead. And soon everyone who confronts or befriends you will die!"

"That can't be!" Vash reached for his gun, "Who are you?!"

"Simmer down," the cat replied, "I am...unarmed..so to speak." He licked at his left arm, which was covered by anything but cat fur. "I am Legato Bluesummers. And I am here to teach you the true pain of living."

"How dare yo-" Vash stumbled aback as the sound of music danced across the air, and in dust cloud, the figure of Legato Bluesummers disappeared.

The four furries caught a bus that was headed for May City, because May comes after April. Vash sulked, not feeling as hoppy as he did earlier that day.

"Cheer up, Mr. Vash!" Milly chimed, "Don't listen to that bad cat! He's just a bully!"

Vash nodded and smiled, though his ears still drooped with sadness, "You're right. He is a bully. I wonder if.." Vash caught sight of Wolfwood, "HEY! You're drinking out of my canteen!!"

"I was thirsty!" The priest snapped, his ears drawn back in defense.

"So get your own water!"

"I would have! But there was none around!"

"Well who's fault is that?!"

"GRR!!!"

"GRRRR!!!"

"Boys, will you stop that!" Meryl yelled at them, "Really! Two grown men arguing like children!" She sighed, "Besides, we're almost to May. Let's allow the rest of the trip to be peaceful."

Vash and Wolfwood quieted down, though they were still not happy.

"Grr.." Vash whispered to Wolfwood.

"Grr.." Wolfwood whispered back to Vash.
