Savannah Suntannah Mitsubishi Vannah -- What do these words have in common? Absolutely nothing! Today Jon and I were going to see Sam I Am but as things work out my tire was flat so we had to sit in some tire place for 45 minutes and I got to charge $15 on my parents' credit card for the repair. That was cool! He made the comment "Well I know what I wanna watch since we didn't get to see the intellegant indie film... GOOD BURGER!" So I guess it's Good Burger tonight... hehe I went to the historic district to go to the local art store there and buy some chalk pastels. I soooo missed walking up and down those streets, checking out all the hippie stores (in which every single one sold bongs), and just taking in the layed back atmosphere. Good Bob I missed this place! Friday, January 18, 2002

Job Opportunity! -- If you're in the Tallahassee area and would like a job making $8 an hour doing a bunch of easy stuff for the good ol State of Florida e-mail me. Easy work, good pay, crappy co-workers (but they don't matter anyways...) Thursday, January 10, 2002

Okay, I'm Stupid -- First of all, Her name is Sarah Fimm not Sarah Frimm... so if you like piano driven female vocals (like Tori Amos) then look her up on mp3.com... she has some cool songs. I'm in the process of downloading some mp3's for a mix cd to listen to on my way to Savannah. So far this is what I have: Saves the Day - At Your Funeral More songs when I can think of them....
Wish Me Luck... Okay I just applied for a loan from Apple to purchase the new IMac for skool.... My dad would kill me if he knew I was doing this... hahahahahaha! Monday, January 07, 2002
Bored at Work -- I can't believe how much we use the DEP Tracking database every friggin day on my job! Today the M drive is down (where tracking is located... and to my dismay I just realized the other computer which it is mapped from is turned off... thus it's not really down, I'm just a doofus!) But anywho since it WASN'T working I couldn't do anything since I didn't have the database to check the files with. But now the computer is on, the drive will work, and I won't be so bored... thankfully. I've been surfing the net WAY too much today. But I discovered a singer that I like... click here and search of Sarah Frimm. Yes I'm too lazy to give the direct link. Anywho she reminds me alot of Tori Amos, especially during the Choir Girl Hotel cd... Other mp3.com bands I like that I listen to at my boring job.... Evergreen Terrace (Jacksonville hardcore band) Other things that I have discovered on my job: The new IMac has come out, and since I've been bored all the time I've been reading up on Apple and the macs... After my research I am totally purchasing an IMac when I get to Savannah! Alot of people seem pissed at the whole idea of the new IMac saying that it was all a bunch of hype, but I think its pretty danged cool, more efficient than a big bulky tower, and according to Todd the IMac is capable of the same tasks as a G4, costs about the same as the tower AND the monitor comes with it thus saving me about $500. But I'm pretty much going to purchase one not because it looks good, but because I'm sick of windows and all the problems I'm constantly having because Windows ME sucks donkey snot. I've used a G3 power mac before, and I'll admit it's a bit confusing to a person who's been using PC's for years, but I still think its pretty darn cool! Just a quick thing I want to say to Bef after reading her blog: Yes I'm going to be gone, and we won't be able to spend each weekend at each other houses, hiking at the park, making fun of rediculous celebrities, destroying the Britney Spears/Ken voodoo dolls, and whatever the heck we normally do. That's really going to suck the most. No more funny expressions on your face when someone pokes fun at Metallica, or something else you take personally, or that extremely gay/insane smile you make when trying to make someone laugh. No more beth-fu (I'm sure Chris is going to talk about that 30 years from now...hehe). Desite all of this, you cannot say that you are alone as you were two years ago because things are not the same for you now as they were before we met. You still have Julia, Ashley, Cody, Chris, Travis, and don't forget good ol Keif! You may not be as close to them, but they're still your friends, there to make you laugh, to have good times, and to make things seem not so bad, that's what friends are for. Just be sure to go to Tallahassee as often as you can, take figure drawing classes at LeMonyne during the summer if possible (trust me they help!). Go to the art galleries (the few that are there...), go to local concerts even if they are smokey and the bands aren't too great, drive as much as you can; like as quoted in Lord of the Rings no one wants to go through hard times, but it's what to do with the time we have that makes it matter. I'm Breakin' Off... This Is My Home -- Well people, I have two more weeks from um... the day before yesterday, and I'm shovin' off! I'm extremely nervous about my financial situation... but I'm positive that I'll have a job before I run out of money! I really don't know what else to say in here... my bedroom walls are completely bare (I even took down the "porn lights"), and I spend a few hours each day sorting through memories and trying to decide what I want to keep and what I want to forget. I won't be able to chat with anyone online until I order my Power Mac G4 (yeah buddy! I'm ditching the PC system since Microsoft can't do shit anymore) and it's probably going to be a LONG time before I can afford it. I'm not sure if I'm going to start SCAD as soon as I wanted (due to financial aid) but oh well... you do what you have to when you can. Oh yeah, here's some music by Mike: Cheesy Baroque Fantasy Video Game, Laughing At Air They're short but I thought they were pretty... If I told you that I Bracing my heart Lock my heart I'd do anything for you |
