Don and I are firm believers in breastfeeding (and Kira and Eli are too :-) Not only is it the best food for babies but it can be their SOLE nutrition for the 1st year!!! We also follow child-led weaning and believe each child is different and has differing needs. What is a suitable age for weaning for one baby is radically different from another...and yet it is all normal!! A baby does not nurse only for food. Comfort is a large factor. I hate the term "human pacifiers"....we are not modeled after pacifiers, pacifiers are modeled after us!! Again, God si infinitely wise in His design and plan!!.
