There is a certain nostalgia that one gets when taking pics with black and white film. These are black and white photos that I took at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee during the fall semesters of 1994 and 1996. I had to learn to develop the film and prints myself while using a manual 35mm camera. The camera used was a Minolta Maxxum 3xi with autofocus and manual settings.
This was during a class field trip to Dunbar Cave. This place was a popular spot for concerts during the Big Band era during the 1920's. This Cave is also close to the golf course which shares the same name.
This is from the grave site of Austin Peay, a former governor of Tennessee.
This monument is around the entrance of the Confederate Memorial and is also where Austin Peay  is buried.
This is part of train bridge that has been derailed. There were alot of these bridges that ran through Clarksville. Now, the tracks that ran over some of the roads, have been dismantled, these steel girders are all that's left.
This is another view of Dunbar Cave. In this view, the big bands would come in and perform in the upper part, behind the gate. The audience would sit and listen in the lower level. Concessions were served at the area just below the stage area.
This is a photo of one of my former classmates. In one of my painting classes, I had to do a self portrait as part of my assignment. While my instructor was taking pictures of us to use for paintings, I had my camera with me and one of  my assignments in my photography class was portraits, so I ended up taking some pictures of a couple of my classmates.
This photo is one I took while getting used to my camera.
This is a photo I took that I thought was kind of funny because of fact that the ducks are floating around the sign.
