Hillside Cascade |
These folks wanted a solution to their problem. Their swimming pool was down over the hillside in their back yard and access to it was a lot of trouble...as you can see. What could be done? After some consideration, I drew up these plans and presented to them. They loved them! Here are the results.

Two treetop photos were necessary in order to take in this whole scenario (hold pointer over picture). Notice the flow of traffic from upper level to a catwalk that leads to a set of bleachers (under tree on upper left, facing catercorner to the pool). From there the stairs cascade on down to the deck beside the pooland spill over to ground level below! (By the way, that is yours truly on upper level deck in the yellow & black vest.) |

This view is from the upper level facing the bleachers. The handrail on the catwalk and in front of bleachers has a much wider profile, designed for leaning upon while overlooking poolside deck (deck visible under upper level). There is a full-length step off the right side of catwalk into the yard (hold pointer over picture for better view ). |

This view is from ground level toward bleachers. (Hold pointer over picture for another interesting view. The white corrugated panel is the pool surround.) These folks were now happy and their problem was solved! |
