This is the view towards the house. The River Rock is really nice on the feet and drains water away quickly. We had it on the porch in our Orlando house.
We are hoping the screen will reduce the pool maintenance. It keeps the water from becoming quite as warm too but there are 3 or 4 big solar panels on the roof of the house that warm the water. We'll see how the whole thing works! Somehow we'll find a place out here for our portable spa too.
Judie hasn't decided when she is going to retire but she does know how she is going to celebrate. I already have instructions to take a picture of her floating in a pool chair toasting everyone with a glass of champagne and email it to all her old co-workers just to say 'goodbye'. With this large expanse of deck on the back side of the pool, we may have to get a tan!

There is this huge planter in the corner of the pool enclosure. The current owner assures us that it is impossible to kill this plant that is growing there and we sure hope he is right! There are some tall pines in the neighbor's yard behind us so keeping the screen clear of needles will be an ongoing task.
The fence belongs to the house but it is pretty rotten. The owner is keeping it alive a board at a time. We'll see whether I'm ambitious enough to replace it or if I continue the piecemeal approach. There is only about 2 feet of yard behind the pool enclosure.

This is the back yard to the west of the pool enclosure. Big enough and hopefully not too big! The chair in the foreground is on a little patio outside the master bedroom. Here you can see the big pines in the neighbor's yard better.
