Amateur Radio Operator Extra Class - K7SDF: I like the mix of technology and people contact. I've been a 'ham' over a quarter century.
Webmaster: I maintain the Detroit Chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) site as well as my personal home page. The Web is the way to find people you ordinarily wouldn't reach. For me, this is a sandbox for learning how to put up neat stuff and possibly market my talents.
Family Historian: I'm on a quest to find out about my roots. Where the heck did 'Ledwith' come from?. It's a one in a million name. I've learned a lot but there is so much more to know. A bunch of us Ledwith surnamed folks have found each other on the Web and the results are Ledwith Surname FAQs.
Technologist: A postman's holiday. I'm a PC, programming and network guru. I don't consider myself a propeller head. I like people and technology as a way to enable their communication.
Public Speaker: I enjoy giving speeches, hosting and facilitating, My favorite forum is the SpeechCrafters Toastmasters Club at Standard Federal Bank in Troy MI. Come join us.

O.K. here is the 'why am I here'. My wife dragged me to Michigan in '1997 to be near her family. California got to expensive and schools were headed down here. Michigan is a beautiful state. Being here takes me back to my Midwestern roots. Your money goes further and schools are better. I do confess to missing the mountains and the seashore. Michigan winters suck.

I lived in the San Francisco bay area from 1973 to 1997. I loved the climate and diversity of activities. I started there when I graduated with an MBA from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. I wanted to live there ever since I helped my Uncle deliver ice cream up and down the peninsula.

In my prior life I was a student, elementary through college, in Salt Lake City, Utah. I graduated from West High I and went on to college there. I took a break for Army active duty where as a reserve officer in the Adjutant General's Corps I went to Korea and then Ft. Meade Maryland. After a number of years reserve duty I retired as a Major.

My early years were in the great Midwest in Lincoln, Nebraska where I still have family.
