My  TUBB  Ancestors

The TUBB line had me deceived for a long time: because Ellen (b1877) married my Grandfather in London and her father had been a London policeman, I assumed they were a London family, but I discovered that they had a long history in Berkshire, where TUBB is a well established name.

Although my Grandmother Ellen (b1877) died young, leaving my mother to the not so tender care of a step mother who cut her off from the TUBB family, I am lucky in having some recently discovered cousins still living in the Hungerford area, who can remember being told much family detail many years ago.  Even more recently, I have found Valerie Bushell in New Zealand, with whom I share George and Susanna (m1724) as ancestors, and who has provided much early information.
