Class Events
Here're the class outings and events that happened during the school year 2004 - 2005. By the way, the pictures are separated on the gallery pages. If you want to add more, just
contact me, okay? Thanks! ^_^
The Intramurals
Remember the time when our volleyball and basketball team lost the match? Oh, yeah, who will forget it? No one, of course! It's because it has definitely been one of the most memorable events in our class. We cried when our volleyball team lost because of an obvious jeopardy, and we cried more when our basketball team lost their match with the class of Saint Diana. But, despite all the things that happened, it still gave a positive effect in our class. Because after the game, we bonded, shared our thoughts, and comfort each other when we went to eat at Jollibee Asturias. Yep. And I still remember how some of us begin to laugh and regained their spirits from the defeat. Anyway, it was fun, and I hope we can do it again sometime.
The CAdT Training in Bluroze Farms
This is actually the first time that our class have an outing -- or should I say "training?" Yeah. ^_^; Anyway, our class bonded although not as a whole (the guys were separated from the girls). Still, there were times when our boys and girls helped each other (although forbidden) during the cooking of food. From that training, we learned to fight, test ourselves, and help each other as a team. And we even won some mini-awards! Yay! From there, we can also see how united we are when competing with other sections or group. Heheh, I remembered the last time when we were so stubborn that we want to be seated in the same bus even if it's limited. We argued with the class of Saint Diana, and somehow, we get to be in one bus altogether.
Retreat in Caleruega
Okay, joke time is off for now, 'cause were going to experience some spiritual blessings and guidance. Yes, that was when our class, along with the class of Saint Dorotheo, went to Caleruega in Nasugbu, Batangas. The first we stepped there, we were awed and amazed by the beauty around us. Of course, all of us have been excited to go there, some probably because of the stories about ghosts. :P Anyway, the climate is low, the scenery is stunning, and the area? So vast and quiet. There were trees, flowers planted at every corner, and everywhere you turn to just marvels you
at its beauty that never fades. Oh, how we were so lucky that we went there in the nearing of Christmas, so we get to see the intricate ornaments that hung and lit up the whole place. Oh yeah, it's kinda disappointing we weren't complete because Alvin wasn't there. Oh well...
Anyway, from that experience, we discovered a LOT from our classmates -- like what their family is like, what they feel inside and outside the class, etc. From those sharings, we also learned a lot. We will always remember and treasure them for the rest of our lives.
And... let's forget about the ghosts, okie? :P
Outbound-Education
Or should I say, "bus education?" 'Cause, for me, I really didn't learn a thing during the course except getting tripped, getting dung under your feet, and dry yourself under the sun. Oh yeah, and I somehow, learned to dress fast whenever I'm inside the bus. :P Anyway, some of our classmates also agreed that they enjoyed the trip more inside the bus rather than during the experimentation outside. Why? Because the crew (or our guides, whatever) were funny, our boys were enthusiastic and obssessed with the mic, and some get to sing in front too! Heheh, the atmosphere inside the bus were more lively than outside. ^_^
Christmas Party
Please don't sue me. Okay? :P Anyway, this is just my opinion. I really didn't like some of the games in the program of our Christmas party (especially the part when you get to pull the eggplant that was stuck between the guy's ... X( whatever). But that was just what I think... okay?!? Anyway, it was pretty boring, and some of our classmates tried to keep us hungry until 11:30!!! Imagine that, when some of the class concluded their programs, we were still standing and walking outside our class room, waiting for the food! Some were even shouting, "
Gutom na kami!!!." Heheh, fortunately, the food finally arrived, and we were finally stuffed.
Enchanted Kingdom
I haven't got much to say to this part because practically, I didn't get a chance to be with them (due to a limited allowance). Anyway, I think many still went there like Kim, Hannah, and the others. :P I wonder what did they do?
The Accident
They say the year of the Rooster is a very bad year. People will be very unlucky to the point of losing -- even their lives. I didn't believe it, of course, for it was a Post Hoc -- a fallacy. Although sometimes, I began to feel some truth in it that I get to the conclusion that many will suffer this year. I hope not, but it happened on a Friday, on the morning of February 4th. Jomer, one of our classmates, with her sister, Mary Joy, met an accident -- they were hit by an Eagle Star bus while crossing the street of Forbes. The damage was serious, and up to now, Jomer's condition was not stable. Let's just pray for him so that he'll recover fast and will be able to join us (even on a wheelchair) just for the graduation exercises.
The Last UST High School Week --for the Seniors :P
Oh yeah, before we even realize it, summer's gettig near, and we all know the next--we're finally getting graduated!!! Waaaahhh!!! I still don't want to graduate, though I MUST, or else... :P Anyway, I'm talking here of graduation and the topic's about the High School Week. Anyway, it started in the Parent-Teacher Conference in the morning of Monday, February 14, 2005 (also Valentine's Day), and the program Music: Instrupop ended he afternoon. Of course, there were those who started their Eco Bazaar during the day. All in all the program by the Music Society was "average," and I'm thinking of a lousy-and-cool mixtures of emotions. :P Oh yeah, and that night was the Mr. and Ms. UST High School held too. It ended on Tuesday, the continuationm in which Ann Jhelyn won as the Ms. USTHS. Cool!
After that comes Tuesday. I can't remember anything special except the Mass part, wherein only those who weren't class officers attended it while we, yep, did nothing inside the classroom (although we kinda prepared for the Teacher's Day afterwards).
Yes, the Teacher's Day was kinda short but meaningful. It was the time when Sir Melvin kinda "preached" again, and we also shared a part when the students were asked to complete the syllogism. It's like this:
"If Sir Melvin exists, then St. Dominica exists.
But, Sir Melvin exists.
Therefore, St. Dominica ________."
Got it? Anyway, it was fun and entertaining. I was even surprised when our classmates made up a game -- sort of -- like that. Still, I enjoyed it.
Okay, let's go to Wednesday... uh, I can't think much about what happened except the Eco Bazaar thingy... uhm, still thinking... oh yeah! I remembered it now, it was the day when the Drama Guild held a play entitled, "Kadudaduda." It was very entertaining, and very comical. I remembered one part when Celyn acted as the girl who were distributing the Coke (instead, they were mineral water). Haha, very funny, although I would still suggest that they limit their liberty knowing there were freshmen who were also watching the play (and I'm talking of the mild censored parts of their speech).
Thursday. Now, I really can't remember any program here except, again, the Eco Bazaar and SC's games in the halls. Haha, yep, getting bored. :P Oh yeah, I almost forgot, on that Wednesday, the Athletics Club also held the championship match. Oh... we really won the Volleybal round! Yipee!!!
Finally, Friday. Nothing special in the morning, though super memorable in the evening! Yep, Sponge Cola was there and everybody was happy, rocking and moving their bodies wildly. Oh, and did I say EVERYODY WAS HAPPY? Aheheheh... I love Sponge Cola... :P
