4-State Show Rules
1. In consideration of the acceptance of any entry, the owner and/or exhibitor hereby releases and agrees not to hold show management and/or 4-State Arabian Horse Association from any liabliities for damage or loss if any suffered or sustained by owner, exhibitor, or handler of such entries as a result of personal injury or property damage or theft occuring in connection with or during these shows.

Show Management reserves the right to split/or combine any classes. All riding classes greater than 14 may be split with the top five called back to class to be placed in top five of call back.
3.
Judges reserve the right to remove any unmageable animal/or person from the show at any time at his or her own discretion.
4.
There will be a 2-minute gate call. THIS WILL BE ENFORCED.
5. Patterns for showmanship, equitation and trail classes will be posted.
6.
All classes entered will be paid for before points will be recorded.
7.
Entries must be made at least 3 classes before class entered.
8.
All tabs will require a signed blank check upon entry.
9.
ARABIAN CLASSES-Open to purebred and half-Arabians.
10.
Riders in Walk-Trot Classes shall NOT enter a class that canters! OR EVER RODE IN A         JUDGED CANTERED CLASS.
11.
Horse Types:  Stock-predominantly Quarter horse breeding, conformation, and type.
                             Hunter-predominantly Thoroughbred breeding, confirmation, and type.
                             Saddle-predominantly Saddlebred, Hackney, Tennessee Walking Horse,
                             or Foxtrotter breeding, confirmation, and type.
                             Pleasure-predominantly Arabian or Morgan breeding, confirmation,type

Neat attire requested, proper dress not required, but long sleeve shirt and boots ARE     REQUIRED.

Year End Awards go to 4-State members only, and are based on ONE HORSE/ONE RIDER. Points will be counted ONLY from the day you join. You must show in at least 4 of 6 4-State Shows and in the same classes, except weanlings in classes 3 and 4. And the double judged shows counts for 2 shows. Halter points follow the horse not the handler. To qualify for year-end awards, you must work a total of 5 blocks during the show season. You can attend a meeting and that will count for 1 block worked. Each exhibitor will now have to work 5 blocks but you can give blocks away and others can work your blocks for each exhibitor. Also if you hold an office or are on a committee you will have earned those blocks automatically. For the youth (13 & under) Year End Awards, only points earned in DESIGNATED in 13 & under or 17 & under classes will be counted. For the Junior (14 thru 17) Year End Awards, only points earned in DESIGNATED 14 thru 17 or 17 & under classes will be counted. For the Adult Amateur, Points for OPEN and ADULT AMATEUR classes will be counted. These awards will be given at the year-end banquet. Individual class high point awards will also be given at
the year-end banquet.

Shows will be conducted in accordance with 4-State Show and AHSA rules (except in classes where AWHA/PtHA rules apply.
15.
Horses need to do one of these gaits: Single foot, slow gait, rack, foxtrot, walking horse or paso fino, etc. (this refers to horses entered in class #37)
16.
Each break shall be used to warm-up horses showing in the next performance division only. Reverse direction should occur after 7 1/2 minutes.
17.
No lunging allowed during the riding warm-ups.
18.
The Trail classes will be judged in the outdoor arena no earlier than 3:00 p.m., all the trail entries must be in by 3:00 p.m. In case of bad weather, the trail classes will be held   in the indoor arenca at the end of the show.
19.
Leadline cannot cross enter into any riding classes.
20.
In Halter class 7 those horses only qualify to show in Class 1 thru 7, 13 and 14. The other halter classes are for horses that are 54" tall and above.
