VOICING UNDER WAY

Fernand Letourneau (pictured above standing next to the choir box), who founded Orgues Létourneau in 1979, has arrived in Australia to begin work on "voicing" the organ. The "voicing" of the pipes is a vital element as it is what determines how the organ will sound. Letourneau is widely known for the meticulous and intricate detail he goes to in the voicing procedure. And with thousands of pipes in the new organ, the voicing will take up a considerable part of the "construction" time. More information on the voicing process and work will be published as it quickly gets under way.
