Welcome to the F.A.Q (Frequently Asked Questions). I receive many emails asking me various questions about the site, dolls, etc. I can't reply to all of you by email, so when you have a question regarding the site or the dolls, this is the place to look. Your questions will be added here regularly, because believe it or not, many others have the same questions as you! Hope this helps. If there is anything I have not covered here, please email me. I will not, however, reply to anyone who asks a question that is already answered on this page.

How did you make this site?
This site was made using HTML coding. I did not use any templates or pagebuilders in the creation of this site. It is original and the HTML was written by me. HTML is easy to learn. If you would like to make your own site, but need help with HTML, I suggest you visit Lissa Explains.

How did you get your site onto the Internet?
I write my HTML online. I do not use notepad or the like. I have an account with Geocities. They are a great hosting company, with many features and they are free. As soon as you save your site with Geocities it is published on the net. Visit Geocities.

Where did you get the dolls?
There is a chat program that you can download called Palace. There are many ready made dolls and clothes that you can swap with people on Palace. I found some dolls and clothes on Palace and edited them all to create original clothing combinations. These dolls are now original work that I can claim as my own.

How do you edit dolls?
You can save your doll and open it in a paint program such as MS Paint or Paintshop and edit it from there, or you can simply edit it on Palace by opening the 'prop' bag and clicking on an image, then clicking 'edit'. Simple!

Are there any other ways of making dolls?
You can create dolls using drag 'n' drop sites (check out mine!), where you simply drag clothes onto the basebody of a doll, or you can draw your own doll from scratch in a paint program. You should be looking at a photo or drawing when drawing your doll, as you need to have some sort of idea on shape and body proportion etc.

Why didn't you let me win your award?
Your site may have had some problems; broken links, overlapping images, very slow to load etc. I look for a site that is well maintained and also original. Don't feel bad if you did not win an award. You can always fix up your site and re-apply.

Why did you reject my Sister Site application?
Obviously I cannot have too many sister sites. I only choose a site to become my sister if it is original and grabs my attention. Sorry if I did not choose you to become a sister site. It doesn't mean that I didn't like your site, I simply can't have 500 sister sites!!

I requested a doll, but it didn't look how I thought it would...
If you are not specific when requesting your doll I will be unsure of how you want it to look and will have to make do with the information provided to create your doll. Try to be very specific when requesting a doll! Don't leave out any detail!

Why do I have to link back to your site when I take a doll?
I like to be recognised for my hard work. Dolls take a long time to create, so if you just place one of mine on your site and claim it as your own, you are not giving me any credit. Stealing is not cool! Obviously, if you don't have a site and would like to use a doll as an email signature or something that's okay. Just remember 'if you take it and display it, then you link it!'
