I have been a textile artist, designer and teacher for over 40 years. Over this time I have taught a variety of crafts including machine and hand embroidery, beading, crazy patchwork and felt making but now concentrate on cloth doll classes and techniques.

I love fibres, colour and embellishment, as portrayed in my dolls. I take pleasure in sharing my knowledge and have others enter the world of fantasy and fun of doll making.

This is a fun way of making an accessory for your doll or yourself. Also, a really interesting way of using all those fibres and threads you usually throw away. It is important for class participants to be able to knit or crochet. Only basic stitches such as plain stitch or double crochet or treble will be used.

After making our silk paper we are going to design two sets of wings for our Fairy Dolls. Light as gossamer and just as beautiful and will give that never ending touch of magic fairies should enjoy.

It is not always necessary to have that special piece of fabric to create the final finish. Here class participants will create their own, using their machine and free hand embroidery. Beading and embellishment will add that special touch.
