Kerryn comes from a creative family of artists and craft people. She has always been encouraged to use her imagination and creativity. She is self taught and loves to experiment, her first doll was a sock doll at 8 years of age. Kerryn has been designing and teaching cloth dolls for 5 years. Her designs show her love for fantasy and mythology. Kerryn loves to impart the knowledge that she has learnt on her journey and loves to see the joy on her students faces as they create. This is a hands on workshop for those wanting to take another step in doll making. Learn to make moulds for face masks that can be used on cloth dolls or mixed media dolls. You will learn basic sculpting and easy and fast methods for making moulds. You will complete a mould for a mask and bust as well as smaller face masks, using plaster, polymer clay and other mediums.

Doll hair can sometimes be the most frustrating part of a doll. What fibre? What style? How do I attach it? In this workshop you will learn to weft, hand knot, and implant fibres to create wigs for your dolls. Using traditional methods and modern we will create crowning glories for your dolls from natural and synthetic fibres. Another area that will be covered is cutting and styling, as cutting fibre the correct way can make a wig.
