The Reading Area Show promoted by Diana Fogel has been in the Reading area since 1985. Diana Fogel, a dealer herself, engaged the services of her Brother, Larry--who was a long-time Promoter of antique paper memorabilia--to help her start up the Show after the Jr. League of Reading lost interest in running the Show after a couple of years. The Shows were originally at the Berkshire Sheraton. She has been running the Show ever since 1985 with the help of her Family which now consists of only her Husband, John, since her Mother, Pearl, passed away in 1999. The Show has been a survivor while many other Shows have come and gone. This might be because the Show offers something for everyone from the beginner to the serious collector.
Dealers attend the Show from New England to Florida. Craftsmen and craftswomen as well as Stores from the PA area makup the group of Dealers which usually is about 30. You can expect to find furniture, landscaping, miniature dolls, pets, holiday items, wallpaper, millinery, electrical and building supplies, room boxes (and limited dollhouses) and, of course, thousands of types of accessories, etc.
