The University of Texas at Brownsville - Texas Southmost College
This is where we attended school while we were in Brownsville.  It is a beautiful campus.  Click above to visit their official website and learn more about their wonderful
ammenities and programs.
Gladys Porter Zoo is one of my favorite outdoor activities.  They have many community programs as well as a beautiful facility.
There is way more about Brownsville than I could fit on one page, but here are a couple of sites that talk about it some.

City of Brownsville

Port of Brownsville
Then there is the Sabal Palm Sanctuary.  It is a natural palm forest and is known for its birding trails.
Port Isabel   &   South Padre Island

are Brownsville's sister cities.
Among the many things to do on the island you can find dolphin tours, bird watches, sea turtles, an aquarium, camping, fishing and even an annual bikefest!
When we lived in Brownsville, I set up this page to show off some of the wonderful things about the Rid Grande Valley.
Although we will probably end up back in Corpus, I love the Valley so much that I decided to keep this page here.
If you hankerin for a vacation, this is the place to go!
