2004 Spring Concert
Mr. Miura's final Spring Concert honored Kaewai Teacher Mary Sueda. Many former Dole Band students were in attendance dating back to the 80s. Many former teachers helped celebrate Mr. Miura's final concert as Dole Band Director and attended the reception after the concert. The top band award went to Brandon Tuzon. 2003 Spring Concert
Our Spring Concert on Thursday, May 1, 2003 at Farrington featured the Beginning and Advanced Bands.The Dole Advanced Band performed Overture in Bb by Giovannini, Slavonic Folk Suite, movement II Cathedral Chorus by Alfred Reed(in memory of Jonalyn Nakamoto), My Heart Will Go On from Titanic (90th anniversary of the sinking), Korean Rhapsody (celebrating 100th anniversray of the Koreans migration to Hawai'i with Guest Conductor, Mr. Stanley Shimada, Balladair, and American Patrol(dedicated to our Soldiers at War). Former Dole Band student Mr. Wilson Montemayor donated and presented 3 trophies to the most improved students: Woodwind - Diana Portela, Brass - Janiene Sablan, Percussion - Tyler Wakamoto. Cover design contest was won by Lady Cristy Tagoca. Winning the Dr. K Kawashima Memorial for the most outstanding band student was Arlynne Pasion. See awards...
2002 Spring Concert
Superintendent Patricia Hamamoto attended our Spring Concert on May 3, 2002. Dole Middle School, the band, and audience were very honored by her presence, speech, and her assistance with the presentation of the awards. Representative Dennis Arakaki attended the performance and also assisted with the presentation of the awards.
