| Rule 1: You may task from anyone willing to task you. Rule 2: We do not task / train freesouls. Rule 3: We encourage tasking/ training of our allies at the Radiance. ( of course worthiness is still a main factor to check ) Rule 4: Freespirits will only be tasked / trained for arts/plats unsphered - 1st sphere. ( ex. You may not task a soulmaster for deafen, nor may you task a dreamseer for vision to 10 ) with the exception of a "Teaching Pass" ( see below) *Teaching Pass* Freespirits who have dedicated time to aiding the Light are eligible for a Teaching Pass. To obtain a teaching pass, the freespirit must endure an interview with the Rulers, and Master Teachers of the House. If accepted the pass will be granted and their name will go on the list below. | Training and Mentoring Procedures |
| I. Mentoring A. Any Teacher of the Light may mentor an apprentice as long as they follow this charter. B. The process will be overseen by the Master Teachers of the Light. C. Process 1. Pre-Interview a. The member will come before the combined Master Teachers of Light and request to become an apprentice. They will state if they have an idea of who they wish to be their mentor. b. The Master Teachers will interview the student to establish the following. i. Why they wish to be a teacher. ii. Their current ability. iii. An overall feel about them. c. If the student is allowed to apprentice the Master Teachers will decide whether to allow them to mentor under their choice of mentors, or assign one. i. This could happen if the apprentice and mentor are related, or are involved with each other. 2. Apprenticeship a. The mentor will do as they see fit in mentoring the apprentice. b. The Mentor will upon request give an outline of the process they are planning to use. c. The Mentor will give periodic progress reports to the Lead Teacher. d. When the Mentor feels the apprentice is ready they will be brought before the Master Teachers of Light again. 3. Interview a. The Master Teachers will interview the student to determine if they are ready to advance further. i. If they are deemed ready they will be brought up to the MT council for interview at the next interview meeting. ii. If they are not deemed ready they will be required to continue mentoring, either under the same mentor or another chosen by the MTs of Light. 1. If it is the same Mentor then the issues that need work will be explained to the Mentor. b. If an apprentice happens to fail 3 times they shall be removed as an apprentice, unfortunately not all are meant to be teachers. i. The mentor's process will be reviewed as well. II. Train Plateaus A. For Master Teacher's whose train is higher than any other in the House they shall go to Caerina, and if she happens to be gone then the current Elder dealing with Train Plateaus. B. Master Teachers whose Train is lower than another Master Teacher of Light's Train will be tasked by them after a short apprenticeship. C. Other Teachers 1. They shall come before the Master Teachers of Light. 2. An interview will be given to determine current skill, and readiness. 3. A Master Teacher will take them as an apprentice. a. The apprenticeship will be to prepare the teacher for what will be required at the new plateau. b. As part of the apprenticeship, or afterwards, a task will be given to the apprentice to finish. i. The tasks will be approved by Caerina, or the elder in charge of Train plats, before it is given until they are comfortable with that MT's tasking ability or forever whichever is prefered by the Elder as they are the ones granting the plateau. III. Sphere A. Only Master Teachers and Rulers will be allowed to have Sphere in Dreamers of Light, if they come to the House with this art they will be prohibited from using it. B. Spheres 1 to 3 will be handled at the individual Spherers discretion. C. For Spheres above 3rd there will be an interview for those seeking ascension. 1. To determine readiness as well as length of time between spherings. 2. To get an idea of what sort of a task will suit this particular dreamer. D. One or more Master Teachers, as well as perhaps a Ruler, will be involved in tasking for a Sphere. E. All Spherings will take place at a House Meeting, or at another time, set up in advance, if the student cannot make House Meetings. |
