Gates of Nevermore
Written by: Raven Lunatic
We have sailed across the air before we learned to fly.
And thought that it could never end, yet we wonder why.
We'd glide above the ground before we learned to run.
Now it seems that our own world is coming undone.

We have made the mountains shake with laughter as we played.
Hiding in our corner of the world, as the rest all fade.
As we laugh and dance, we rushed to nevermore.
Threw away our only keys and locked the eternal door.

Now we stand in the misty morning, on the edge of time.
We've lost the rising sun, perhaps the final sign.
As the misty morning rolls away, to distance itself and die.
We stand, slowly reaching for the stars, yet we blind the sky.

Look to the distance, for an echo beginning to shape.
Faint in design, it's what holds our very fate.
Confrontation between the eight, draws closer by the moment.
Peace now becomes unknown, as it lies here dormant.
Only the saviour of souls is not the sinner.
All of the endings are clearly just the beginner.
The closer we all get to our own meaning.
The sooner we will all know that we're not just dreaming.
