She may look as if she is flying, but in fact this pic was taken during her current brake overhaul. Lack of the pedal doing anything caused me to strip the whole system, and I really don't have the time to put it all back together! Biggest problem is that I keep finding more and more things to fix, becoming almost a semi restoration.
As can be seen here! Been on a bit of an undersealing spree recently, decided behind the headlights was likely to be a vulnerable area so out they came. The reflectors are in poor condition anyway and probably wouldn't have passed another MoT, so its restoration for these too!
The headlights mid-restoration. Both have had new reflectors fitted from better spares lights. The passenger side had a square plastic reflector fitted, and the replacement metal one did not suit the bowl fixings as the retaining clips were too small for the swivel mounts to fit into. These are removable from the reflector but the equivalent ones from the square reflector are much smaller and simply slipped through the retaining holes.

Solution? Cut up a CD to make fairly strong spacers, place a piece each side and simply bolt the new retainers onto the metal reflector. Cost nothing as I used an AOL CD - first time thats ever been useful!
