| Here are a few pics of the car, click on them for bigger ones. Its in a scrappy in Edinburgh, but the story goes like this. Last saturday the owner drove her in there with a blown head gasket at 11.30, I noticed her and bought her at 11.45 with the engine still warm. Saw her and thought 'that car shouldn't be in here', the previous owner had just given up after an MG mechanic had said she wasn't worth fixing. As you can hopefully see from the pics, the interior and exterior are in very good condition. I'm the kind of person who refuses to let a good car die and so I'm willing to take this on despite being finacially challenged - selling my car to fund fixing her up. However, if she really is outside my budget and you are interested, then I'm sure I could let her go! Just be glad to see her go to someone who will keep her on the road, not butcher her for parts. Things needing done: 1) Head gasket fixed, hopefully not cracked head! 2) Brake discs and pads replaced, fluid changed. 3) ATF flushed and replaced, filter changed. 4) TRX wheels replaced with 15" as the tyres are extortionate and she needs two. 5) Anything else revealed by the check over this afternoon. She is generally a very nice car and I really want her to be saved, not scrapped. She was not registered as scrapped as I picked her up within 15 mins of her being left in there. |
