ABOUT ME AND DOILIES

I've been making doilies since I was 13 years old. I saw one lady making doilies and it was so fascinating to me, that I wanted to learn this special artistry. This lady, whose name was Mrs. Jelinkova, took me under her wing and tried to teach me everything she knew about making doilies. I was very clumsy at first, but Mrs. Jelinkova's patience and my determination et the end paid off.

I make crocheted and knitted doilies.
CROCHETED DOILIES are easier to make, but they look thicker.
KNITTED DOILIES are more difficult to make, but they are much more beautiful and look very dainty. They take more time to finish, so I have to price them accordingly. One must concentrate on counting all the loops while making absolutely amazing designs.

You can purchase any of them for your table to protect it; for your nice piece of cabinet under a vase of flowers. You can buy it as a gift for someone who loves and cherishes doilies. You can buy one or more of them, frame them and hang them in a special area as a nice picture. You can purchase several small pieces as place settings. A lot of feeling is being put into my art of knitting and crocheting. And all of my work is looking for a good caring home.
