Ranks are for fun. You will not be given any orders or be expected to give any, and there are no outrageous duties to perform. I created this guild so that we can have even more fun with the game, make friends and help each other out. Officer ranks, especially, exist for people who enjoy helping others; they aren't in any way positions of authority or some such nonsense. What I have always wanted was a two-tier system for people who prefer a relaxed guild just to talk in AND for people who want the kinds of things that other guilds offer: raid groups, hunting parties, item gathering, guild bank, an extensive website, etc. So, I've created a new system in the hope that things will be more clear and people will get exactly what they want from Dogz of War. The only problem is, I can't do it all alone, but at the same time I'm not going to ask anyone to do anything they don't want to do. Therefore, if you want the first kind of guild and just want a place to talk to other people, that's great and that will be the main tier of guild ranks. If you would like the second kind of guild, then I need your assistance and initiative to make it happen. (Tell me if you want to be in Tier Two) Thank you! -- Crischin |

Tier One: |
(There are no guild responsibilities in this tier. It is basically an "anything goes" kind of structure.) |
Underdog -- First level of membership. One's rank upon joining the guild. Everyone roots for the underdog!
Mongrel -- After sticking around for a little while, Underdogs become full-fledged members. Mongrel is a good rank for hanging out, chatting, learning about the guild and/or the game itself if you are new.
Pit Bull -- Kind of like a guild veteran. Pit Bulls are usually members with a little more experience or have been consistent members for a good length of time.
Officer ranks: (There is only one expectation for officers; that is, you must be kind and patient to the other members. If someone rubs you the wrong way, it is your own responsibility to work it out. I don't want to hear petty complaining or snide comments about people. However, if there is a serious problem, I will do absolutely anything to support you. I hope you understand my feelings in this, thank you. --Crischin)
Dogcatcher -- This is the first level of officership in the guild and the first level that has the ability to invite new people into the guild.
Wolfhound -- A promotion for Dogcatcherz. They have the ability to invite new people, and they take part in approving new promotions.
Packleader -- Promotion for Wolfhound. Similar to Wolfhound but have a little more knowledge about the guild overall. They can also edit the officer notes. (scroll down...) |

Tier Two: |
(As mentioned above, this tier is for people who want to assist in developing the guild. Rank depends on how much you want to get involved. Note: you will never be asked to drop what you are doing in the game for guild stuff.) |
(Note on the word "involvement." All this really means is, one, a desire to help other guild members enjoy their gaming experience and, two, a willingness to support me in my efforts for the guild. --Crischin)
WatchDog -- This is the first level of real guild involvement. What I really need is people with initiative who will help me get things done, like getting pics for the website, which is something I've had to organize by myself. If anyone wants to be in this tier and become this rank, please let me know. (It may turn out that no one is really interested in developing the guild or the website further, and if this winds up being the case, then that's okay; I just want people to enjoy themselves. Personally, though, I think having a website and doing stuff for the guild is fun. In any event, I will still keep these ranks available in case there are those who, in the future, might be looking for this kind of thing in a guild.) This rank doesn't necessarily have a lot of responsibility; it is more of a first step in getting involved and helping out, and if you're comfortable with this rank, you don't have to go any further if you don't want to. WatchDogz can also invite new people.
GuardDog -- Promotion for WatchDogz. This is kind of like a "captain's guard" or "tower guard" rank. In addition to helping me out with guild stuff once in a while, this is for people who are interested in arranging groups for raids or dungeons or going hunting for materials or items. GuardDogz can invite new people, edit officer notes and take part in guild promotions.
Packmaster -- I would like this to be a rank for someone who feels equal responsibility for the development of the guild and the enjoyment of the members. A capable person who gets along well with others and will consistently act on their own initiative to make things fun for everybody. This rank would be able to invite new people, edit officer and member notes, and promote people to new ranks.
* * * * * * * * * *
Uberdog (Guildmaster) -- Ultimate responsibility for the success or failure of the guild. In addition to everything mentioned above, he also has the ability to kick people out of the guild if they are causing any problems. He also likes dwarven ale ;-) (scroll down...) |

F.Y.I.: The two ranking systems for Tier One and Two have nothing to do with each other in terms of rank level. They are completely separate. |
