This is how things work currently:
Underdogs are automatically promoted to full Mongrel status at the end of each week. This is being done so that we can make sure that no one who joins and wants to stay with us gets overlooked.
Pit Bull promotions have a lot to do with length of membership in the guild and how involved the member is. A person who has a good attitude and helps other members draws the attention of the officers much faster than, say, someone who enjoys playing by themselves. If that's your preference, that's perfectly fine, but it may take a while to be promoted.
Officer promotions will take more time. They must have the support of fellow guildmembers and the approval of the other officers. The most important criteria will be the degree to which one helps other members and takes responsibility for the success of the guild.
Final note: This all sounds very serious, but the most important thing for all of us is to have fun together. Some people really like having ranks and want there to be some substance to them. So, for those members, we have put together this structure. If you're happy just being a member and don't care about ranks, then ignore all this! Ranks aren't a status symbol in this guild anyway...they're just for fun.
