The Different Types of Wolves

The bond between the wolf and the people goes back a long way in the history of this land as we look up to the stars. There has always been a special place in our hearts for these magnificent brothers of ours.
(These words came from a Indian, who taught use about their Brothers, the wolves!)

There are many different wolves in the world. Most of the differences come from who the wolves choose to mate with. As you see in the links to the left there are many different kinds, so are subspecies and others are just a different "breed".

Some wolves live in the wild, others live in captivity. But most live in the wild. Some wolves may live in the forest, others in swamps, and others in the artic. Each "type" of wolves has a specialness about them. The red wolves, for example, have very long legs. And the gray wolves do not. So you see there are many things that make each type of wolf worth exploring.

These little wolves are very spiritual looking. Many wolves were used as animals that should be worshiped. Some wolves were considered brothers to the Indians.

Each wolf is special, none are the same, even if they are the same "breed" as another. Some wolves can run really fast, others can hunt better. As I said each "type" is special. Arctic wolves are the only wolves to live all year around in the snow, other wolves normally live in a forest or swamp. I believe that plains wolves live on the plains, meaning live in a open area. If you want to learn about a certain "type" of wolf please click on the links above. If I continue to tell you all the wonderful things about wolves on this page, I will leave none for the other pages so I have to say I will nolonger talk about the different types, only the special differences.

In the picture on the left you see a wolf on the edge of a cliff. Wolves have always been known as brave creatures. But wolves have always been afraid of humans, so there is no need to worry about them. Anyways Wolves are always brave when it comes to things like protecting young, or territory.

I'd like to say farwell to this page, for now I move on to read about the different wolf types. You should to! The more you learn, the more I learn, the more the world says we are great.
Here is a poem for you about wolves: Everyday, everyway, we all like to say.... good morning to you the wolf in the zoo, and good morning to you the wolf in the noon. I say let your voice ring and sing for all to hear for all to see. Good bye dear wolf good bye I say today, today. Let us play!
