bout a week later, Isaac found himself rather exhausted by all the attention. Dragons were not truly uncommon or unknown, but Gaea had been the first outside dragon in hundreds of years, so she obviously attracted attention. Now, Isaac was trying to bond a second, for very important reasons, and many wanted to visit with him, either fauning over him and giving him unnessecary attentions, or to scoff at ow ridiculous it was that he may even try (these were the same people who had been the butt of many a prank by Isaac).

He was lounging, as usual, lying in the sun on "his" beach. Analissa was nearby, bustling about, setting things right. They (well, mostly she) had built him a small cabin near the nest site, and it was a complete mess due to lack of cleaning. He was unconcerned by most things, and Ana's scoldings and prods at him to "Get up, help out a little," were no different. "Isaac, you know, I shouldn't be surprised if as soon as Lynmari arrives here she simply turns around and leaves. You know, it was about this time after I applied that Gaea arrived, and the news just came that the clutch was finally filled. She could be here any day now, and all you can do is sit around!"

This sort of lecture was common, and Isaac thought it was rather funny. Their relationship had developed nicely, and they were very close friends, though neither would admit it. If anyone were to ask Analissa about Isaac, she would simply reply "He is the pain of my life," and leave it at that. Few ever asked Isaac anything other then about the Summer dragon, but if they had, he may have replied "Analissa? Oh, you mean the crazy lady who wakes me up at midnight to make absolutely sure that I filled out my apllication correctly."

Around noon, Analissa promptly walked over and bopped Isaac on the head with a piece of driftwood. "Get up, you lazy bum," she said to him, and when he opened his eyes (he'd been "napping,") he saw a large white Air dragon about to land on the sand. "Lynmari's here!"

Quickly he straightened himself up. The great dragon landed, and a half elf dismounted, carrying a basket and satchel. Putting the basket down, she pulled out a scroll and handed it to Isaac. It read:

Dear Applicant of the SilverValley,
This letter is in regards to your application to adopt a Valley dragon from our agency. We have sent our scouts to survey your potential dragon's home and have found it fitting for one of our dragons. Congratulations! You have been approved. In the basket that my Dragon Carrier Lynmari, has delivered is youre newly laid Valley Dragon Egg! Again we want to thank you for applying and for building a fitting home. Please be sure to reply to this letter so that I know you have received your dragon Egg. I am not in need of your dragons name at this moment but please have a name chosen when your dragon reaches its Adolescent Stage of life. Also note your dragon's gender will be told to you by Lynmari when she visits next week for your dragon hatching. Thank you. Please take good care of this dragon and tend to it well, for this stage needs much care in order to hatch. We will be checking in on your dragon often to make sure it is in its home and adjusting well. So again, I thank you for adopting at the SilverValley Agency and hope to see you again!

Heart beating fast, Isaac eagerly watched as Lynmari smiled, and pulled back a blanket on the basket. It revealed a large purple egg, but only for a moment. She covered it back up to keep it warm before she said "Like the Letter should read, I will be back next week today to check on your dragon's hatching and identify your dragon's gender. Congratulations to ya and hope to see ya takin care of that big o'egg." Then she simply walked back to the dragon and soared off over the ocean.

Gently Isaac lifted the egg into the nest of lava rock and grass. It was smooth and warm, and he felt a strong connection with it. Stroking it, he lay in the sand next to it, and hummed a song Asha had sung to him. Analissa and Gaea only looked on and smiled, remembering when Ana had first met Gaea as a hatchling. "Analissa," Gaea said quietly, so as not to disturb the pair. "Only a week till it hatches. Do you think he'll be ready?"

"Of course."
