Isaac
"Ugh, Isaac!" Analissa was frustrated. It seemed as soon as one problem was solved, another sprung up out of nowhere. Unfortunately, today this problem was Isaac. You see, Isaac found problems very entertaining, and so stirred them up at least daily. "Oh, come on! It was only a little joke," he pleaded. Ana was fairly kind, and he knew she wouldn't really feed him to a gang of starving cliff-ghasts, but it was still a frightening thought. "How was I supposed to know the slime-pods would explode when I threw the rocks at them?" Actually, he had known exactly what would happen. That was why he did it. "Everything's covered in slime! EVERYTHING!! It will take days to scrape this stuff off the whole village!" She threw herself onto the ground. Only a few years older then Isaac, she had a quick temper. Arguments like these happened often. "Okay, Issac, here's the deal. You get to help clean. In fact, I think a one man cleaning-crew will do nicely." He kicked the sand and created a dust cloud that sent him and Analissa running for shelter. "Ohh, but that's not fair!" He sniffed apathetically and adopted a childish voice. "You're always bossing people around!" "Isaac, that's because, like it or not, I'm in charge, not you. And thank God for that!" She added as an afterthought. Isaac respected Ana as much as the next person (or being..), but it was much more fun to act like he didn't. He may even have fancied her (just a little), but he never intended to let her know that. So he just pouted at her. He made to look like he was about to begin cleaning slime off a little hut, but as soon as she and Gaea had flown off, he dropped his rag and ran off along the beach. It was a nice, warm Spring day, and he didn't intend to waste it cleaning. "Carray!" he called. A small reddish flagoo came scampering over the rocks to sit at Isaac's feet. He chattered, impatient to start playing.
Isaac picked it up and tossed it into the water. Soaking wet, the little creature came running back into his arms, shaking off all the water. They played this game for a while, Isaac tossing Carray into the water, Carray shaking himself off on Isaac, until Asha called to the boy to come home. "And leave that little devil there where it is!" Quickly he stuffed Carray into his shirt and jogged back to the village. "Yes, Asha dearest?" he said in a sweet voice. He put his hand over his shirt pocket to stop the flagoo's squirming. But Asha's eyes were far too sharp. "Put that thing outside!" Reluctantly Isaac obeyed, though Carray remained in the doorway, looking pitiful. "Now, Isaac, listen up! Analissa wants a talk with you, as soon as you can get to the Clearing." The rebel looked nervously at the still-slimey village around him. "Okay.." His guardian looked at him sharply as if to say "Now!", so he scooped up Carray and set off. The Clearing wasn't too far away, and he'd probably get there before sunset. It was a long walk, though he knew many of the creatures he met along the way. Most knew him as well, for he was well-known for his pranks and fun-loving personality. They smiled and waved as he passed, but a few looked in disdain. Apparently not all were fans of his jokes. Just as the sun began to dip below the sky, he reached the Clearing in the very center of the Forest. Analissa and Gaea were standing there, waiting for him. Suddenly he realised she would not have summoned him here simply to scold him for not cleaning off the slime. She held out a scroll. "Read this." she said simply.
"So?" she asked. "Hmm.. Sounds like me. Minus the playful guardian, though." He laughed. "What is it?" "This is the information for the Summer dragon at Silver Valley. I thought it sounded like you, too." Now Isaac was intrigued. Everyone had heard the story of Analissa and Gaea, how they'd fullfilled a prophecy. Gaea was a Spring dragon, a Seasonal. In case you couldn't guess, Summers were Seasonals too.
