Nicky Mitchell

For the past eight years Nicky has played and sung all over the world, performing with top acts such as Dana Gillespie, Taka Boom. Eugene 'Hideaway' Bridges, and Geoff Aichison.
As a solo performer she achieves a big full rhythmic sound with driving bass lines and foot stomping. Her committed delivery and on stage presence make her an exciting female Blues soloist, with a voice that is simply stunning.

Nicky made the trip this year to the Isle of Man for the 2002 Bushy's Blues Festival. Her first of several gigs of the weekend was at the Acoustic Stage and she was great. Not just a great singer and guitar player but good fun too. When she broke a string she sang Mercedes-Benz and replaced it, while doing so, but had a little trouble with the end pin. A guy came up from the audience to help out and the look on her face as he "inserted the end pin" for her had the audience howling with laughter. She made a lot of friends on the Isle of Man.
