Experiencing Cultural Exchange with the Aetas

Project: Installation of Water System and public toilets
Venue: Aeta community  at Sitio Calape in Mabalacat, Pampanga

The following photographs were taken when we first arrived in the area and in between activities that we did.

a) A scenario when the volunteers first arrive the place. b) Tribal Chieftain Roque Laxamana showed us the traditional way of cooking rice by the use of bamboo.

a) Pastor Al Mercado showed the volunteers how to make drinking cup out of bamboo. b) Chieftain Roque and Pastor Al prepared the bamboos to be used for cooking rice. c) This is the way how rice are cooked inside the bamboo tubes.

a-b) The volunteers. c) The Aeta kids can easily pose and smile infront of the camera. d) A typical Aeta hut. e) Aeta kids sang a Christian song for the volunteers.
