August In cushioned comfort crossed and close Brightness sits. Burgundy warm; quiet, tender, a smile. Fingers trace the rug; a diversion, a touch. Closer now; your breath, August warm... a kiss! GSL
I slept wrapped in your scent last night, your phantom arms cradled me close. I found safety in the full blossoming breast that rose and fell; keeping perfect rythmn with the murmering heart within. Soft folds of satin skin folded me about. A warmth long sought comforted me; soft, secret sanctuary. Through the night long I lay; protected, enclosed, loved. Your hair, the colour of winter made a pillow of soft Summer days. Days I have never known. Your face, the moon; so gentle, gave it's light to the darkness; a dark I have known too long. Somewhere between Midnight and the eastern sky I lay; Half waking, half dreaming........GSL
We only part to meet again, Tho' mighty boundless waves may sever Rememberance oft shall bring thee near and I will go with thee for ever. And oft at midnights silent hour when brilliant planets shall guide the ocean Thy name shall rise to heavans highest star and mingle with my souls devotion. (attributed to Edgar Allan Poe)
We're driving out of town, leaving behind the estates and their cares. The road unwinds before us, we're heading for the country. Stopping by the old church we park the car and walk awhile, hand in hand. The hill falls away beneath us to a ribbon of water crawling south. I look at the side of your face, and the feeling's good. On and on now down the hill we walk, following the cows rough grass lazy trail beneath a late summers sky. At the bottom, by the style, we pause; I look at you and catch your eye, I'm rewarded with a smile. The late warmth of a long summer is caught in that smile, in that eye, and the feeling's good! GSL
