Halloween
Happy New Year Folks!!! Well, in case that confounded you, Halloween is the Pagan new year
I've been having such a great night. I'm almost undrunk now so I'll be going to bed shortly.
But of course, you know me, I gotta get political for a minute. I saw on MTV tonight Real Life "I Drive A Racecar". And I got worried when I saw them talking about the rebel flags flyin', but never expected what I heard. Eventually, it had to get on the subject of race and why there are noe black racecar drivers and it actually showed some... some CRACKER mofo saying "because n****** don't belong racing!" And some other people were like "No, there's no balls to chase around, it's not their sport" and "Maybe if they were driving Infinitis or Escalades" I started feeling violent! Kinda like country music, whatever respect I tried to maintain for it was just diminished by the ignorance of its fans.

...So I got into an argument with my AKM (Assistant Kitchen Manager) over the rebel flag. He was talkin about how his little girl has Dixie Outfitter shirts (the god-awful ones that sport that confounded flag), but he was angry her friend had one that said "If I'd known it would be like this I'd have picked me own cotton". I made the comment that the flag means the same attitude whether there's a terrible phrase on it or not. He went on to say it's a heritage thing. I said "I have German blood but you damn sure don't see me fly a Nazi flag as part of my 'heritage'!" A group of people fighting to keep a certain race as slaves is not heritage to be proud of. And he ahtes being called a redneck because they're typically racist... I said "Well since you've realized what redneck stands for in society, why can't you understand what the redneck flag means in today's society?" Whether the guy flying it knows, It stands for hate.
