| Reverend Stubbe was Marine Chaplain for the 1st Battalion, 26th Marines during 1967-68... and the Siege of Khe Sanh. |
| For those who have been to Khe Sanh, the reddish color of this stone is near perfect when compared to the red dirt there. It stands twelve inches above a base of Purple-Heart wood, a rare and exotic hardwood from South America. |
