TOMLINSON16’s Reports :: One on One with Baltimore Ravens head coach RaiderX

TOMLINSON16 :: Alright coach, with a 3-2 record heading into your week 7 game, how would you say you offense has performed up to date?
Raider X :: Well, the run game has been there with Jamal Lewis right up there with the league leaders [3rd in the league with 586 yards rushing], but the pass game has been terrible. Kyle Boller has thrown 14 int's I believe in 5 games. That will NOT get it done. Kordell Stewart will be starting week 7's game.
TOMLINSON16 :: Coach how important is it that you get that first TD to ensure you will be able to effectively run all game?
Raider X :: It's VERY important with this team to get a lead. Also, we need to play ball control. With our bad passing game, we CANNOT get into a shootout. Our defense will keep us in games, but to score that first td is crucial. We want to keep our offense on the field.
TOMLINSON16 :: Coach, last week you had the bye, and this week you have a tough 4-1 Buffalo Bills team coming to Baltimore. What will be the points of attack, and how will you stop Eric Moulds and that explosive offense?
Raider X :: Well, offensively, we will try and pound the ball, with Lewis ideally getting 25-30 touches. Hopefully, with Kordell in at QB, we can get our pass game going. Look for Todd Heap to have a big game. As for Moulds, Mcalister with shadow him all game. We will also double team him alot, and make someone else beat us.
TOMLINSON16 :: Finally coach RaiderX, how will you climb through the ranks of this tough, tough AFC north divison?
Raider X :: Well, I have probably the toughest owner in the league in J.R. and his Steelers. They are playing really well. Also, the Browns owner is tough. We just have to take it one week at a time. Hopefully, we can make a run at at least a Wild Card.

Baltimore Ravens Statistical Leaders

Todd Heap – 12 rec, 159 yards in 5 games.
Kyle Boller – 60 comp – 126 att. 676 yards, 1 TD, 14 INT in 5 games.
Jamal Lewis – 145 rush attempts (* #2 in the league), 586 yards rushing (* #3 in the league) 9 rushing TD (* #1 in the league)
Anthony Weaver – 5 sacks, FF
Will Demps - 3 INT
* - All stats as of October 12th 2004.

And that was that, so the Baltimore Ravens, who are yet another competitor in this tight AFC, will look to steal one from the Bills’ who have looked close to flawless this year. The key for this game will be, like coach Raider X said, to score early, and get the defense to help preserve that lead.

More to come..
