Song is: "Help Me Make It Through The Night" from Vietnam Jukebox

Entered Viet Nam via DeNang. (Came under Rocket attack during the first night, slept in bunker rest of night.) This song became very important to me this first night in Nam:

Feb. 12, 1968

Reported to 1st Mar. Div.,1st Batt., H&S Company, 1st Marines. (Sent out to Alpha Company in field due to threat being made about a corpsman going to be brought back in a body Bag next time.) Didn't realize at the time but this song became very important to all of us.

NOTE: March 28-April 1, 1968 Spent this time period in hospital with Amebiasis (Gastro-Intestinal, vomiting an Diarrhea from drinking contaminated well water in Hue even after waiting twice the water treatment time. Then reported back to Phu Bai only to discover that unit had moved on and was involved in: PEGASUS.
