Concrete Disaster
So what happened?  If you look at the 20041209 page, there is a picture of the back yard on it.  The concrete has some funny coloration on it.  Down below are a couple more pictures, taken a few months apart.  The top is in daylight, and wasn't shot for any reason particularly related to the concrete.  But you can see the discoloration clearly.  The bottom photo was taken just now of the same spot and shows the discoloration clearly.  Sad.  That the second picture is taken two months later shows that the discoloration isn't going away.

The builder says he won't warrant against discoloration of the concrete.  The idea is that natural materials have natural variation in color.  However, this isn't natural variation, it is do to poor workmanship.  According to someone we brought in who specializes in figuring out what went wrong with home construction, the discoloration is due to bad workmanship, not to the materials used.

This from Bouquet Construction Company in Santa Clarita, CA.  Not good work.  The salesman was great, I'd recommend him in a minute, he was very good through out construction, really helped out getting the project right during building.  However, the Bouquet Construction  business itself doesn't want to fix the concrete here.
