Henrich had two sons, Johan and Gerdt, both of whom had a son named Henrich (which I believe is a large part of the evidence linking them as his son). The two grandsons named Henrich come together in a letter from 1644. One buys land in Doerpen and can later be identified as the notary Henrich. In the same document, the second Henrich Bodige appears as a witness and is referred to as ``des Vogts Sohne'' (the Vogt's son), and is therefore without a doubt Gerdt's son.
From 1644 on, the two lines are clearly separated and the surnames diverge. The line of the notary Henrich (Johan's son) only uses the name Bodige. Gerdt's son Henrich is found either as Henrich Boge (or Boege) or Moller. His children at first are found with the name Moller, but gradually only as Boge or Boege.
The Bodige surname eventually died out in Doerpen. The last of that name in Doerpen died in 1922 at the Remkers farm (the ancestral farm of researcher Rene' Remkes).
