with the handwriting that is difficult to read and you can put together
just about any combination of a,e,l,c,k,i,a on the end of her name that you
want. Her surname (on her and her father's records)
is sometimes spelled with the umlaut (Kröse), sometimes
not (Krose). It's also spelled as Crose with a 'C' and Kroese.
The umlaut is used on her marriage record.
The baptismal record of Thalia was the first Krose name I could find
in the Friesoythe parish records. By the early 1700s there are
a few other Krose families, though.
