After negotiating steep loose rocks, deep, muddy rocky pools, and tricky boulder sections, I reached the first big obstacle: Jaws 1.  This is a rock ridge running diagonally across the trail - this is a severe breakover, more than my truck could handle.  I decided to try to sneak around the left side which involved driving on a loose, sloping section at the edge of the trail.  It sloped towards the ravine - 50 - feet down to the creek bed.  After the truck felt a bit loose on the side slope, I decided better safe than sorry, and backed off the obstacle and parked.

Shouldering my pack, I headed up the trail.  During the next two hours I past several big obstacles, past the buggies whole left the parking lot before me, and reached Como Lake and met up with the party.  None too soon as rain started soon after.  We got a fire going and set up camp for the night.
One last view of the lake before the storm closed in.
