The manga

The manga started its run in Asuka magazine in 1999, and is still running, if I'm correct. Volume 11 [Japanese version] is being serialized now. Tokyopop had the liberty of translating the volumes to english. I felt that the translations were accurate enough, but they killed some of the pictures [as in they chopped Daisuke's hair off at one point O_o]Here's a list of english volumes that are coming out this year, the crossed-out ones have already hit the stores-

Volume One [04-06-04] [ISBN 1-59182-799-X]
Volume Two [06-08-04] [ISBN 1-59182-800-7]
Volume Three [08-03-04] [ISBN 1-59182-801-5]
Volume Four [10-05-04] [ISBN 1-59182-802-3]
Volume Five [12-07-04] [ISBN 1-59182-803-1]
Volume Six [02-08-05] [ISBN 1-59182-955-0]

Manga Summaries from TokyoPop (1-7)

Volume One
Daisuke Niwa is an ordinary middle school student who has inherited an interesting family condition. Upon seeing Risa, the girl he adores, he transforms into a daring phantom thief. When the phantom thief sees his own object of desire, he turns back into Daisuke. The only way to cure this craziness is if Daisuke can get Risa to fall in love with him, but how can she love someone she can't see?

Volume Two
The annual midwinter hike is no walk in the park for the students of Azumano Middle School. Daisuke has been dreading the trek all year, but his one ray of hope is that he gets to show off his mountain expertise for his beloved Risa. But when Daisuke and Riku are forced off the beaten path, will their excursion turn into a real cliffhanger?

Volume Three
It's time for the St. White festival, and Daisuke has been so busy working on the festival committee that he's forgotten to get a present for his beloved Risa. His mother, in her infinite generosity, forces Daisuke to take a simple white ribbon as a gift. To top it all off, there's a story going around that if a boy gives a white ribbon to a girl and ties it for her on St. White, they will fall in love ...

Volume Four
While continuing his relentless pursuit to get the scoop on Dark Mousy, Takeshi becomes distracted by a mysterious young woman in a museum. He falls instantly head over heels for her, and recruits Daisuke to help find out who she is. But the path to love takes them far from home ...

Volume Five
After barely escaping the fight with Krad, Daisuke finds himself with no one to turn to. He has a new enemy out to kill him and Dark is nowhere to be found. When Daisuke receives a clue about Dark's whereabouts, he goes on a search-and-rescue mission for the phantom thief. Meanwhile, Riku and Risa manage to get each other lost, sending their classmates into a manic panic!

Volume Six
Daisuke has the hots for Riku but doesn't have the guts to tell her. His whole family follows him into the forests where they watch Daisuke and Riku on their little date. Everyone is tired of waiting for this young man to make his move. Will he finally tell her?

Volume Seven
Things go from bad to worse when Daisuke is taken away by Time's Second-Hand, which Dark failed to steal. The only remaining link to Daisuke lies within the painting, which he had unwittingly given to Riku the day before. Dark now has to retrieve the painting--while pretending to be Daisuke!
