Niwa Daisuke
A seemingly normal 14-year-old. But looks can be deceiving. He has the ability to transform into Dark Mousy by feelings of love. But by psychological terms, he's pretty much average. He has red hair that sticks out all over the place, and red eyes. Goes to Azumano Middle School.

Dark Mousy
His past is pretty much unknown, but he's been connected to the Niwa family for generations. He's basically what Daisuke secretly wants to be- flirty, wild, unafraid to break rules, and...sexy. Yeah. But turn the tables- Dark wants to be like Daisuke- having a life besides being a thief. He has violet hair that flies all over the place, and usually violet eyes, but in some pictures, you see him with red eyes.

Hiwatari Satoshi
Daisuke's not the only one to transform. Satoshi is the last of the Hikari bloodline [his last name is different because he was adopted] and unfortunately, he is part of their curse- he transforms into the homicidal blond Krad, who's bent on killing Daisuke and Dark. It's because of this curse that Satoshi separates himself from others. He graduated college a while ago, but he's trying to live a normal high-school life. He's the head of the Azumano police force. Blue hair, blue eyes, glasses.

Krad
Ah. There's nothing much to say about Krad- he was introduced in the fourth volume in the manga and seen in the first episode of the anime. This guy's been nothing but trouble for everyone- he attempted to kill Daisuke the first time we see him. He's obsessed with Satoshi, his tamer. LONG blond hair with one little accessory, blue eyes, sometimes in other pics he has yellow eyes.

Harada Risa
She comes off on you as a brat. Guess what? You're right. She rejects Daisuke because she doesn't want a normal boyfriend...Apparently she's fighting a life battle with her older twin sister, Riku [who's beating Risa by five millimeters in the chest XD]. Then she falls in love with Dark, but gets rejected when she confesses to him. Well, she judges by looks. Can't get far with that. Brownish hair, long and thick. Brown eyes.

Harada Riku
She's the older, more athletic Harada twin. Basically the twin with common sense-but she jumps to conclusions too fast. Doesn't care much about fashion or superstitions. She develops a love for Daisuke later on. Reddish brown hair, cropped short. Reddish brown eyes.

Niwa Emiko
She's a nutcase, this one XD She seems like a nice, ordinary mom, but eh, she's a scary control freak. In a good way. She's your normal hysterical mom... As a child she wanted to transform into Dark like her father did[but of course she couldn't because it was only in the male genes]. So instead, she vowed to become the Phantom Thief's mother, and apparently scared away about 300 men because of that. O_o

Niwa Kosuke
No, he wasn't Dark before Daisuke was, he was born into the family so he couldn't inherit the gene [which explains the 40-year disappearance]. He really tries hard to fit in with the Niwas, but sometimes it's just too tiring for him. Kosuke appears in the third volume, when Daisuke 'runs away'. In case you haven't noticed, he's Daisuke's dad. He looks a lot like Daisuke.

With [or Wiz]
A cute, bunny-like creature that has been with the Niwa family for generations. Its vocabulary consists of 'kyuu' and 'daisuki!' XD With can turn into Daisuke or Dark, and is Dark's black wings.

Argentine
I believe this is the newest character in DNAngel so far. There's not much information on him, but he appears in the latest arc. He kidnaps Harada Risa, leaving behind a note for Dark that his Sacred Maiden has been stolen. He refers to dark as 'Black Wings'.
