Head going down tracking the pitch!
The front leg braces and the hips begin to turn.
Head down, back foot points into the ground.
Energy from the lower body is stored. In a fraction of a second the bat will be a blur.
The hitting position. This is where the hands should be when the stride foot lands.
No "bug squashing."  Drive from the back leg toward the front leg!
Back foot points into the ground as the batter turns toward her front leg!

No weight on the front foot and hands back to begin the stride.
A continuous flow of motion!!!!
STEP INTO THE PITCH- KEEP HANDS BACK
After the stride foot lands don't turn but continue forward.
    MAKE A POSITIVE AGGRESSIVE MOTION BACK TO THE PITCHER!! Swing from back leg toward your front leg!
                    MAKE A POSITIVE AGGRESSIVE MOTION BACK TOWARD THE PITCHER!!  
The bat reacts to action of the legs.
The head goes down  during the swing. The hips will automatically turn as needed to align with the head.
 To comlete the energy chain continue forward with your hips closed.                                              
Heel comes off the ground hips turn automatically.
The back foot points into the ground.
Contact then hit through the ball.
Potential energy from the legs and hips is converted to the kinetic energy of the bat.

A UIW player transfers her weight and hits a line drive. With an aggressive weight shift swinging early doesn't have to mean a foul ball.
