S.V .H.College of Engineering which is an unaided institution, was established during 1980 - 1981 by "The Hindu High and Branch School", Society to provide Engineering education to aspirant students of A.P. and in particular of the Coastal Districts of A.P. The College is privately managed and owes its existegnced to the pioneering and untiring efforts of the memberds of thed Society and in particular of the dedicated and perseverant efforts of (i) Late Sri.D.Madhusudhana Sastry, a leading advocate of Machilipatnam with more than three decades of experience in educational field and past member of the senate of Andhra University. (ii) Late Sri. K.P. Mallikarjunudu,a an Ex-MPF, a Public Prosecutor and a leading advocate of the local bar.(iii) Smt. T.Kotamma Reddy, an Ex-M.L.A. in the composite Madras presidency and a retired first class magistrate and (iv) Sri. D. Achyuta Rao, a local businessman.
