My Favorite DVD's

Here are some DVD's that I recommend for their features (and the movies are pretty good too)

The Scream Trilogy Box Set

The Godfather Trilogy Box Set
(good stuff includes the Godfather Family Tree, about 20 deleted scenes between all 3 movies, a cool feature on Francis Ford Coppola's notebook for the movies, and a featurette that includes Al Pacino's screen test for Michael (among many screen tests) as it tells some very interesting stories about the fights between Coppola and the studio on the first movie)

Scary Movie
(includes some of the best deleted scenes on any DVD I've ever seen. Seriously, sometimes I forget which are deleted scenes and which ones are actually in the movie.)

Dogma Special Edition (not the wimpy regular edition)
(tons of goodies on this one including more than one hundred minutes of deleted scenes with intros from Kevin Smith and henchmen (including some that I am shocked didn't make it in) and one of the coolest commentary tracks available as Ben Affleck and Kevin Smith decide to rip on each other for the entire commentary (as per usual) and lots more on this 2-disc affair)

Mallrats Special Edition
(once again, tons of goodies including another Ben Affleck/Kevin Smith dominated commentary/battleground, 100+ minutes of deleted scenes (including the original 27 minute opening that was completely cut and restructured), and View Askew's look back at Mallrats. Also, when in the special features section hit the right button until you light up the robots eyes for the single coolest Easter Egg of all time)

Chasing Amy Criterion Collection
(once again for the Jersey Chronicles, tons of goodies including maybe the best Ben Affleck/Kevin Smith battle on commentary (as Ben is in almost every scene), 10 deleted scenes, a special and hilarious intro to Chasing Amy from Kevin Smith (watch this before you watch the commentary track) and other little video spots)

Me, Myself, & Irene
(Some cool deleted scenes (about 10 of em) that are presented with the stuff that made it into the movie around it in black and white. Also has what should be a way awesome feature I have yet to check out that allows you to watch the movie with those scenes edited in (it does a short screen in between so you know that this is an edited scene). Decent featurette, too.

Heartbreakers
(While it does have some decent deleted scenes, the featurettes are the key here as the director is absolutely hilarious. I almost wish that I'd listened to the commentary track with him now.)

Cannibal! The Musical
(Tons of stuff packed into this independent DVD release of Trey Parker and Matt Stone's first movie. While most of it is actually just promoting Troma films, it's all very funny from the tour of TROMA studios to the TIT (Troma Intelligence Test of course...nice rewards for right answers, btw). The movie also has what is billed as a "hilariously inebriated commentary by Trey Parker and Matt Stone" as well as others from the movie. Definitely an interesting commentary track as late in it they get bored with the movie and begin planning a strip club run. Great, packed DVD that's only missing deleted scenes (and given the fact that it's an independent
