Reading:

My primary choice of reading material is romance.
I find that my favorite is Nora Roberts who tends to write a romantic adventure mystery, at least that is how I would describe it.  I have been impressed with her work since the first time I read one of her books.  You can also find her under the name JD Robb where she does a more suspenseful form of writing.

Now since I was in high school I have enjoyed reading the work of two other authors: VC Andrews and Frank Peretti.

VC Andrew's books are not easy to describe.  Most of the work is series stuff and it is definately complex and maybe even a little twisted.

Frank Peretti writes christian books, my favorites by him are based on spiritual warfare (This Present Darkness and Piercing the Darkness) and the first time I read his work I literally had a hard time putting it down.
Role-Playing games :

Among the ranks of Live Action Role-Playing games; I am an active member in Amtgard, and have been since 1995.     This is basically a non-profit organization that is dedicated to the reinactment of the Medieval times, but we add a splash of fantasy...ok more than a splash.
I myself play an elven character who is a member of an Amazonian house as well as running her own house.
My secondary character who is a Dark Troll princess, a precocious six year old troll who is paterned after the baby on the old tv show Dinosaurs.
I also attend Camarilla --Live Action Vampire: The Masquerade -- from time to time, where I tend to lean more towards the Ventrue and the Gangrel clans.

I have recently joined an online, Vampire: The Masquerade -- through AOL -- known as  London: The Haunted Darkness, where I currently play a 12th generation Ventrue.

Occasionally I get involved in the table top versions of Dungeons and Dragons -- where I play or DM;  and Vampire: The Masquerade

Television:

If I watch television any more it is most likely one of two shows...Buffy the Vampire slayer or WWE.  Before you say it, yes I know wrestling is fake...let's not debate the issue.

I never was fond of Buffy until late last year when I saw the musical episode.  Then again a few months later I saw some earlier stuff and I was hooked.  It is very easy to get wrapped up in some of the story lines. The fact that they have decided to bring the series to a close is not the happiest moment in my television world.

I have been an avid fan of professional wrestling since 1986 when my father and I used to watch it.  I have had a few times where I went for extended periods of time without watching it, but it always draws me back -- It must be the half-naked men coated in baby oil.
I would have to say that at this point some of my faves are Edge, Kane and Shawn Michaels to name a few.

Musical interests:

I am forever a child of the 80's.  The majority of my favorite stuff comes from that time zone.  I was very big into the glamrock of the era, the big hair and tight pants. Bands such as Europe, Poison and Motley Crue have been and always will be favorites of mine.

I was also very much into artists like Debbi Gibson and the rest of the teeny bopper genre.  All that sappy, melodramatic mushy stuff really got to me.

Now for a while in the 90's I listened to nothing but Christian Contemporary like Steven Curtis Chapman, Michael W. Smith and Amy Grant; and the Christian Rock like White Heart and White Cross.

In the very late 90's and early 2000 I started back into the mainstream of things with bands like Creed and Matchbox 20.

Then in the early 2000's  I was introduced to two bands that just blew me away -- Savatage and Iced Earth -- and my interest in the realms of heavy metal really began to grow.  It seems that I am introduced to a new band within the ranks of metal everyday that I find I enjoy.

Writing:

Ever since I was in High School I have had the desire to become a published author.  My preferred genre is romance.

I have written one complete story -- written in my tenth grade year -- but unfortunately the manuscript was lost sometime after my marriage.

I also have several works in progress, each it's own concept, that I hope to complete eventually. I have written a few poems and fewer songs. Unfortunately, to date none of them have been published and some have been lost during various moves.
