She Wasn't Born Yesterday
(just the day before yesterday)
Yes, time goes so fast. It seems like such a short time ago that we took her home from the hospital. Ah, those days of soiling diapers, sucking on pacifiers, taking naps, and crying, crying...they're still here. Anika's parents aren't the only ones who do these things--she does, too.

| Wise man arrives from the East. Uncle Bob (Robert McGetchin) comes to pay his respects. | Aunt Bow Porter holds the little one on Sept 28. Note the jewelry hanging from her neck. She does this wonderfully creative work herself and even sells these and many other fantastic pieces on the internet. See her web site that has plenty of information on her too: http://www.hereinhawaii.com/personalpages/porterb/porterbow.html. | |
| This girl is already so popular. Don Wallace and Sarah Malena brighten Anika's day on 28 Sept. She was so overcome with emotion that she just couldn't look at the camera. | Mom and Dad Friesen on Tuesday, September 25, fueling up on Dad's specialty waffles for the big drive back up to Fresno. Their help all week was fantastic. They cleaned, watched Anika, cooked pies and other delicious meals, fixed the rice cooker, got the car fixed, fixed the bike tire, went grocery shopping, and were wonderful company during the first week of our new life with Anika. | |
| Anika and family head outside for a little walk. | She already is developing an ear for fine music. Listening to organ music at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion in Balboa Park in San Diego on September 23, 2001. | |
| Making friends. | It's just not fair!! | |
| Peaceful again. | ||
