Adventures in Undermountain
Overview
The Ashaba Heroes, marveled by the vastness of Waterdeep, are shown the way around the City of Splendors by Regnet Amcathra. At the end of the day, being exhausted, the adventurers are invited to the Amcathra villa in Waterdeep. Many nobles are gathered at the villa. There, Regnet learns the reason why it was imperative for him to return to the City. Regnet is part of an adventuring group called the Deep Delvers. This group is entirely composed of young men and women from various noble houses of Waterdeep. While he was in Shadowdale, the rest of Regnet's group decided to go and explore the tunnels of Undermountain, the famous labyrinth located under the City. No one has heard from any of the Deep Delvers members from a few weeks and their parents are getting worried. Regnet asks the Ashaba Heroes for their help in searching for the missing adventurers.
After having explored many subterranean passages and rooms in Undermountain, the adventurers find all of the missing members of the Deep Delvers. However, as they are preparing to return to the surface, they are ambushed by a group of drows, trolls and ettins. Two members of the Deep Delvers betray the Ashaba Heroes by helping the monsters. Nevertheless, after a rough battle, the Ashaba Heroes are once again victorious. A surviving drow mage, trying to flee the scene, opens a magical portal to escape. The adventurers kill the mage and enter the magical portal to find themselves in some unknown location...
