Under the Twisted Tower
Overview
The adventurers, Kiril Threndor (ranger), Balrog (fighter) and Jimmy (invoker) first met at the message post in the center of the village on a hot sunny day of Kythorn (June) in 1357 DR (Dale Reckoning, a measuring system widely used to count the years). They answered a job offer from the Captain of the Guard of Shadowdale, Thurbal. Their mission : Explore the tunnels under the Ashaba Tower, the home of the Lord of Shadowdale, Mourngrym.
While exploring the vast tunnels under the Tower, they met a duergar dwarf named Simon Stonebreaker. The dwarf betrayed them by leading them into a cavern inhabited by an aballin, a water elemental. The adventurers vanquished the creature and caught Simon before he had a chance to escape. Jimmy tried to drown the the dwarf in a pool of water but the little one escaped.
Later, the adventurers discovered an underground complex filled with dark elves, the drow. The adventurers rescued 3 dwarves, Bultog, Groldar and Brongo, who were prisoners in the complex. The dwarves thanked them for their help and they left. The dark elves were led by a Lloth High Priestess named Levior. The adventurers interrupted a dark ceremony held by Levior. Her bodyguards attacked the explorers and when she realized that her bodyguards were losing, she escaped.
The adventurers returned triumphant from the tunnels under the Ashaba Tower and the townsfolk dubbed them the Ashaba Heroes. With the treasures they amassed in the tunnels and the drow complex, they decided to buy an old abandonned manor house in Shadowdale, Mane's Manor. Mane was an old adventurer from the area of Shadowdale, long since deceased.
Note ~ For those who are wondering, Balrog, the name of the fighter, was taken from Street Fighter II on the SNES and not from The Lord of the Rings.
