TINGGUIAN TRIBES OF ABRA

Tingguian municipalities in Abra are classified into upland and lowland Tingguian. The upland Tingguian municipalities are the following: Bucloc, Daguioman, Lacub, Licuan-Baay, Luba, Malibcong, Sallapadan, Tubo and Tineg. The lowland Tingguian municipalities are: Danglas, Lagangilang, Lagayan, Langiden, Manabo, Penarrubia, San Juan, San Quintin and Villaviciosa. Several studies have been made to trace the early settlers of Abra and results have shown that there are ten (10) ethnic or tribal groups in the province. They are as follows:
