Christian Topics
and the Baha'i Faith
In writing this, I hope to portray the Baha'i Faith's view on the Bible and Christianity appropriatly and accuratly. The reader may detect my own "voice" in the article, as well as my personal "2 cents" if you will, from time to time.  Hopefully I won't do the Bible or the Baha'i writings a disservice by doing so. If I do, just ignore me, or drop me a line. But please, read the scriptures and form your own understanding. Thanks!

I will quote the Bible in the "red-letter" style, that is, the words of Christ will be in red.

If there is one verse, which to me, is a very big key to the scriptures, it is this one.

John 6:63: It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the words that I speak unto you, they are the spirit, and
                 and they are the life.

Out of the mouth of Jesus Christ Himself. "the flesh profiteth nothing". "the words that I speak unto you, they are the spirit, and they are the life."

John 4:24: God is a spirit: and they that worship Him must worship him in Spirit and                      Truth.

I am starting out with these two verses to emphasize the spiritual nature of God, and the spiritual nature of the Word. I may be referring back to these verses occasionally. Some Christianbeliefs may be challenged here, but I must make certain that the reader understands, that the Baha'i Faith in no way discounts Christ or the Bible.

As to the position of Christianity, let it be stated without any
hesitation or equivocation that its divine origin is unconditionally
acknowledged, that the Sonship and Divinity of Jesus Christ are
fearlessly asserted, that the divine inspiration of the Gospel is fully
recognized, that the reality of the mystery of the Immaculacy of the
Virgin Mary is confessed, and the primacy of Peter, the Prince of
the Apostles, is upheld and defended.

Okay, now that that is clear. I will go on and cover some Christian subjects)
